Discover Ibiza 's two different faces: coastline and inland landscapes
Although most tourist activity is based around the coast, Ibiza has much to offer inland. Journey off the beaten track to find untouched villages that still reflect much of the incredible history of the island. Many are just a cycle ride away from your resort.
As to the coast, you'll feel amazed the island's beautiful sunsets and the special magnetism of some islets as Es Vedrà and Es Vedranell. The Natural Reserve of Cala D'Hort and Las Salinas, the later partly located at the south of Ibiza and partly in Formentera, including the sea strip that separates them and the islets called Es Freus, are the two main areas of environmental value.

An appointment with history
Ibiza's cultural heritage reflects the way that the island was occupied by the Phoenicians, the Romans and finally the Carthaginians in the past. Buildings and artefacts left by the three occupying forces can be seen in the architecture and in museums across the island.
On December 14 th , 1999, the fortified Upper Town (Dalt Vila), the Phoenicia settlement of Sa Caleta, the Phoenician-Punic cemetery of Puig des Molins, and the Prairies of Oceanic Posidonia of the Natural Park of Las Salinas were declared World Heritage by Unesco.
Dalt Vila, Sa Caleta and Puig des Molins are all highly recommended visits, both because of their archaeological value, and the amazing views from the walled town over the castle, Botafoch area and Ibiza town. It can be combined with a visit to the Archaelogical Museum of Ibiza, inside the walled town.

In Ibiza town you will find all the top names in fashion together with a wealth of accessory shops to provide that unique fashion extra. Many shops still close for the traditional siesta from 1'30 till 4'30 but then they stay open late into the evening. When in Ibiza town don't forget to visit the small boutiques and market stalls in the streets around the harbour.
Weekly markets - on a Wednesday visit the 'Hippy Market' at Es Canar. Some of the original hippies from the sixties and seventies are there with their wide range of colourful goods and hand made jewellery..
Go for a swim in the island's sea and sun
With over 18 Km. of beaches the island boasts some 56 different beach locations. These range from the wide open sandy beaches of the south west to intimate coves and bays of the north and west coast. In Formentera the beaches are predominantly sandy with breathtaking views over to Ibiza
